Understanding Team Garage vs. your personal Garage

LapperSnapper has two features with "Garage" in the name, and they don't work alike. Your personal Garage is about your own machines and your own sessions. Team Garage is about a Team's staff keeping track of their drivers' equipment. Knowing which one you're looking at avoids a lot of confusion.

Personal Garage

• Holds as many vehicles as you run — see Add your vehicles to the Garage.
• Its main job is filtering: it's what lets you assign sessions to a machine, keep personal bests honest per vehicle, and keep a setup sheet per vehicle (see Keep a setup sheet for your vehicle).
• You manage it yourself, offline included — changes save locally and sync when you're back online.
• A vehicle can be archived, or permanently deleted.

Team Garage

• Holds exactly one active vehicle per driver, added from that driver's profile. Team accounts see the whole fleet in their Garage tab.
• It covers identity, readiness, setup sheets, and service history. It never changes a driver's personal bests or which personal vehicle their sessions are grouped under — though staff can assign a Team session to one of the vehicle's heats (see Team setup sheets and race-day heats).
• The owner, coaches, and mechanics can work on it; only the owner and coaches can add a vehicle. Vehicle and service report changes go straight to the server — there's no offline editing for those. A connected driver gets read-only access to their own current and past Team vehicles. Archived vehicles appear under Past Team vehicles in their Garage.
• A vehicle can be archived, but never permanently deleted. Service reports can be edited, never deleted.

If you're a connected driver, your Team vehicle sits at the top of your own Garage, and you can link it to one of your personal vehicles with Use for my session history — the Team never sees your personal Garage. If you manage a team, your own account doesn't have a personal Garage — your drivers' vehicles live in Team Garage instead.

Tires in both Garages

The Tires tab keeps sets and usage for that vehicle. Personal tire sets require Pro and can be managed offline. Team tire sets follow Team vehicle permissions; authorized owners, coaches, and mechanics need a connection to change them, and connected drivers have read-only access without needing personal Pro.
