Adding photos to a vehicle or service report

Last updated 20 days ago

A photo says more than a note ever will — a cracked fairing, a worn tire, a part that's about to let go. Team Garage supports one profile photo per vehicle, plus a full photo gallery on every service report.

What happens to a photo

  • It's re-encoded as a JPEG and capped around 8MB.
  • EXIF and GPS data are stripped automatically, so a photo never leaks where — or on whose phone — it was taken.

Two things to plan around

  • You need a live connection to view photos. They're fetched fresh each time rather than cached for offline viewing — don't count on pulling up a vehicle or service report photo trackside with no signal.
  • Photos count toward your team's storage. Vehicle and service report photos are part of your team's overall storage and fair-use limit, the same as any other upload — they're not free extras.

Add or replace a photo the same way you'd fill in any other field: open the vehicle or service report and tap the photo area. See Log a service report for what else goes on a report.
