Readiness is a quick, honest snapshot of whether a driver's vehicle is fit to run — and it's entirely your call. LapperSnapper never sets it for you.
The statuses
- Not assessed — the default until someone checks it.
- Ready — good to run.
- Needs attention — usable, but something's on your radar.
- Grounded — not going out until it's addressed.
Each status can carry a free-text note, so "Grounded" isn't just a label — it can say why, and what needs to happen before it changes.
Why it's manual
Nothing in Team Garage sets readiness automatically. Logging a service report — even one describing a serious repair — never changes the status on its own. You set readiness yourself, based on your own judgment, and update it whenever that judgment changes.
Who sees it
Owner and coach accounts can set or change readiness. A connected driver sees the current status and note on their own vehicle, read-only — see What your connected driver sees in Team Garage.
