Tag the track state after an import

Last updated Sep 25, 2026

A lap time means little without knowing whether the track was wet. Right after an import, LapperSnapper asks how the track was, so you can tag the session while you still remember — and filter by it later.

When it appears

After a successful import from a file, from a GoPro video as New session from GoPro data, from a RaceBox, or from your MyChron over Wi-Fi. It's skipped when every imported session is already tagged.

Steps

  1. In Track conditions, pick a Track state — Dry, Damp, Wet, or Drying — and/or a Grip level — Green, Normal, or Rubbered.
  2. Optionally tap Track temperature and enter a reading.
  3. Imported several sessions? Leave Apply to all N sessions ticked to tag the whole batch.
  4. Tap Save (it needs a Track or Grip choice), or Not now to skip.

Sessions that already had a track or grip tag are left as they were.

Change it later

Open the session's Setup tab and use the Track and Grip chips on the Conditions card; tap the selected chip again to clear it. See Track conditions: weather and air density on every session.

Filter your sessions

The Sessions tab has a chip row: All, Dry, Damp, Wet, Drying, Untagged.

  • Untagged — sessions with neither a track nor a grip tag — is Free, handy for catching up on older imports.
  • The four track-state filters are Pro.
  • The filter narrows the list only; personal bests and track history aren't split by track state.

Good to know

Team accounts get the same sheet after assigning imported sessions to drivers, and the same chip row on the Team's session lists.
