Record with a RaceBox
Last updated 8 days ago
A RaceBox (Mini, Mini S, or Micro) gives you much higher-rate GPS than a phone, which means sharper deltas, cleaner corner analysis, and a more accurate racing line.
Steps
- Turn the RaceBox on and keep it near your phone.
- In LapperSnapper, open the Record tab and choose RaceBox as the source.
- Tap Scan for RaceBox. The app looks for nearby devices and connects.
- Once connected, start recording and drive your session. The live HUD and Drive mode work exactly as they do with phone GPS.
- Stop recording when you're done — the session saves to Sessions.
Importing RaceBox files
You can also bring in recordings as files: open Import → Choose a file and pick a .ubx file.
Tips
- Bluetooth allows one connection at a time — close other apps that may be holding the RaceBox.
- Mount the RaceBox with a clear view of the sky, as flat as possible.
- If recording won't start while the app is fetching the device's stored history, let the download finish first.
