Cloud sync failed — what to check

Last updated 21 days ago

Sync usually fixes itself on the next attempt. When it doesn't, work down this list.

Checklist

  1. Are you signed in? Open Settings — if it offers sign-in, you're signed out; sign in and sync resumes.
  2. Is Pro active? Cloud sync requires a Pro subscription. Check your plan in Settings — if Pro lapsed, sync pauses (your local data is untouched). See Cancel your subscription or request a refund for what lapsing does and doesn't affect.
  3. Do you have a connection? Paddock Wi-Fi lies. Try cellular, or wait for real signal — the app is offline-first and will catch up.
  4. Still connected to your MyChron's Wi-Fi? The AiM-… network has no internet. Leave it after downloading and sync over normal Wi-Fi or cellular.
  5. Retry manually. Tap Sync on the sync status card in Settings and watch what it reports.
  6. Update the app. A store update can carry fixes the sync needs; old app versions can stop syncing against newer cloud changes.

Reading the markers

There's no separate "not backed up" badge on sessions anymore — check the sync status card in Settings to see what's still pending.

Still failing?

Email contact@lappersnapper.com with your account email, roughly when it started, and what the sync card says. Include a screenshot if you can — it shortens the back-and-forth.
