Your data and privacy

Last updated 8 days ago

LapperSnapper is built privacy-first, by architecture rather than by promise.

Analysis happens on your phone

Every session is parsed and analyzed on your device. Lap detection, coaching, track maps, video overlays — none of it requires sending your data to a server. Without an account, nothing you record ever leaves your phone.

What the cloud stores (only if you opt in)

With a Pro subscription and cloud sync enabled, we store your backup: session files, vehicles, tire pressures, saved devices, and your profile. It's storage for your benefit — restore on a new phone — not a processing pipeline. See How cloud sync and backup work.

Share links

A shared lap travels inside the link itself — the lap isn't uploaded to a server. Anyone you give the link to can view that lap, so treat the link as the data. See Share a lap as a link.

Your controls

  • Sign out clears your data from a device — see Sign out without losing data.
  • Delete account permanently erases everything we store — see Delete your account.
