How cloud sync and backup work
Last updated 8 days ago
Cloud sync backs up your racing life — so a lost, broken, or upgraded phone doesn't cost you a season of data. It requires a Pro subscription and a signed-in account, and it's opt-in: until you sign in and go Pro, nothing you record leaves your phone.
What syncs
- Your sessions (including the original data files)
- Your Garage vehicles and tire pressures
- Your saved devices and profile
How it behaves
- The app stays offline-first. Record and analyze at a track with no signal all day; sync catches up when you're back on a connection.
- Sync is automatic while you're signed in, and you can trigger it manually with the Sync button on the sync status card in Settings.
- Sessions in Sessions show their backup state — an offline marker means "on this phone only, not backed up yet".
- Sessions that exist only in the cloud (for example, after moving phones) show up ready to download — see Move to a new phone.
Privacy
Sync is a backup of your data, for you. Analysis still runs on your device — the cloud stores your files; it doesn't process them. See Your data and privacy.
