Archiving or deleting your Team
Last updated 20 days ago
There's no separate "delete" button for a Team — the action is called Archive, and it behaves differently from deleting a single item. Here's exactly what it does.
What Archive Team does
- Open Team Settings → Danger Zone → Archive Team. Only the owner can do this.
- Type the team's exact name to confirm — this is deliberate friction, since archiving affects every coach and driver on the roster.
- The team becomes read-only immediately. Nothing is deleted right away: you can still view, download, and export its full history for 90 days.
- Restore it any time in that window with an active Team subscription, and it comes back exactly as it was.
- After 90 days with no restore, the team and everything in it are purged permanently. See Understanding your Team's status: active, canceled, and read-only for how these states fit together.
Cancel your subscription separately
Archiving your team does not cancel your underlying App Store or Google Play subscription — the confirmation screen says so explicitly. If you don't cancel it yourself through your phone's subscription settings, you'll keep being billed for a team that's now read-only. Archiving and canceling are two separate steps.
If you delete your own account instead
Archiving is a deliberate, in-app action. Deleting your personal LapperSnapper account is different, and far more permanent — if you own a team, account deletion cascades to erase the entire team immediately, with no 90-day window. See Delete your account for exactly what that removes.
