What happens when you claim your team profile

If a coach or team owner has sent you a code to claim your profile, here's exactly what happens when you redeem it — read this before you confirm, because it can't be undone short of leaving the team.

What claiming does

Claiming links a team's driver profile to your own account. The moment you redeem the code, two things happen at once:

• The team's entire recorded history for that profile — every session, going back to day one — becomes visible to you, in your own account.
• Your own history — including sessions you recorded before you ever joined this team, even at a different club — becomes visible to the team's coaches, permanently.

Before you confirm

The consent screen shows you exactly what's about to change hands — something like "Profile: Emma R. — 47 sessions over 14 months will become yours." Read it carefully. There's no partial or selective version of this — it's all your history for all of theirs, or nothing.

Going forward

While you're on the team, new sessions you record get tagged to the team automatically. The only way to stop any of this sharing is to leave the team — there's no setting to hide individual sessions from coaches once you've claimed.

One thing that stays yours alone: a coach's private notes about you are never shown to you, even after claiming.
