Voice announcements
Last updated 8 days ago
While recording, LapperSnapper can speak your timing out loud — through the phone speaker or a Bluetooth headset/earpiece in your helmet — so you never look down.
What it says
- Each completed lap: the lap number and time — "Lap 4. 52.3."
- A new personal best: "New best lap."
- Your gap: how many seconds under or over your best the lap was.
- At session start, when the track is recognised: a short briefing naming the track and the corner most worth focusing on today. See Track detection and the coach briefing.
Turning it on or off
Use the voice announcements toggle on the Record screen. While driving, a mute button silences it instantly without stopping the recording.
Tips
- Test volume in the paddock first — an announcement you can't hear over the engine helps nobody.
- With a helmet headset, keep announcements on and the screen mounted out of your eyeline: ears for timing, eyes for the track.
