Watch your lap with a telemetry overlay

Last updated 8 days ago

The Video tab plays your onboard footage with your data drawn over it: speed, lap time, the delta to your best lap, and a track map with a live position dot.

Steps

  1. Import a GoPro file with GPS telemetry (see Import GoPro video with GPS telemetry), or open a session and add its video in the Video tab.
  2. Press play. The overlay follows the footage automatically — the speed shown is your speed at that frame, and the delta compares you to your best lap at that same point on track.
  3. Jump straight to a lap with Go to lap — no scrubbing through the out-lap.

If the overlay looks out of sync

Videos trimmed in an editor lose their original start point. Use the telemetry sync adjustment to slide the data until braking on screen matches braking in the numbers — set it once per video.

Why it's useful

Charts tell you what happened; video tells you why. Watching the delta turn red at the exact frame you turn in early connects the data to the driving like nothing else.

To rearrange the overlay or export a clip, see Customize the overlay and export a clip.
