The Map tab: your racing line

Last updated 8 days ago

The Map tab draws your GPS line on the circuit — not the line you meant to drive, the one you drove.

Reading the map

  • The line traces your actual path around the lap. Wobbles, missed apexes, and wide exits show up plainly.
  • Follow the line through a corner you're unsure about and compare entry, apex, and exit positioning lap to lap.
  • The map stays in sync with the Compare tab: when you scrub the delta chart, the map shows exactly where on the circuit that moment is. See Compare laps and read the delta chart.

Aggregate overlays (Pro)

With Pro, overlay chips add cross-lap views on top of the map:

  • Speed heatmap — where the whole session was fast and slow, painted on the circuit.
  • Composite optimal line — the line assembled from your fastest moments across laps.
  • Consistency band — how much your line spreads from lap to lap; a wide band marks a corner you haven't decided how to drive yet.

Tip

Higher-rate GPS draws a sharper line. Phone GPS is fine for the big picture; a RaceBox or MyChron makes corner-level line comparison much more precise.
