Compare laps and read the delta chart

Last updated 8 days ago

The Compare tab answers the only question that matters: where is one lap faster than another?

Steps

  1. Open a session and go to Compare.
  2. Your best lap is one side of the comparison; pick the lap to put against it.
  3. Read the two charts, which are plotted by distance around the lap and synced to the track map:
    • Speed — both laps' speed traces overlaid. Where the traces separate, the laps were driven differently.
    • Delta — the running time gap. Where the delta line climbs, the comparison lap is losing time; where it falls, it's gaining.
  4. Scrub along the chart — the map shows exactly where on the circuit you are, so "the delta jumps here" becomes "I'm losing it at Turn 3 exit".

How to find time

Look for the steepest rises in the delta line and check the speed trace there: braked too early, rolled less speed through the apex, or got on the power later — the shape of the speed traces tells you which.

Free and Pro

Free compares your best lap against any one lap. Pro adds multi-lap and ghost comparison, and comparing across sessions. See What's included in Free vs Pro.
